Welcome. I’m the Rev. Cait Ference-Saunders, an Episcopal deacon, yoga facilitator, and theatermaker.

Along with my husband and our two precocious cats, we have lived in the Los Angeles Basin for 12 years, with gratitude and respect for the first human partners of these lands, including the Gabrielino, Tongva, and Kitz peoples.

I am an ordained Episcopal Deacon serving in the Diocese of Los Angeles.

Current Position

The people of St. James’ (South Pasadena) have been my church community since 2014. In their midst I first discerned my call to ministry. After completing my diocesan training year at St. Luke’s/San Lucas (Long Beach), I discerned my call to the priesthood. I returned to St. James’ as a postulant in 2023 and now serve as a deacon and chaplain to the parish, coordinating pastoral care and youth ministry.

I will be ordained to the priesthood in January 2027.

Make with Cait

I’ve been making art and telling stories for as long as I can remember. In addition to the occasional theater pieces I devise with my creative partner, I practice collage-making and numerous forms of textile work.
